East Riding Artists supports Community Art, but recognises that such work
inevitably brings the artist into contact with vulnerable persons. ERA
therefore strongly recommends that client groups wishing to engage Community Artists conducts thorough checks for suitability.
ERA suggests
that clients should seek sight of:
A recent CRB check which identifies the Artist's current address
A nationally recognised qualification in Community Arts
3rd party public liability cover with regard to the type of project
to be undertaken. The insurance cover can either be held by the client
group or the Artist
