More important than the objects and themes of my paintings are the colours and their contrasts, I enjoy using combinations of colours which conventionally are believed not to work ! I suppose wanting to do this comes from the art we produce as children and their uninhibited nature. My aim is to produce art that is uplifting and energetic to the viewer.
