My work is hand built, so no two pieces are identical. Surface decoration and finish are integral to the work, and I use a variety of techniques which all have an unpredictable element – using the marks of fire and smoke to enhance the burnished organic forms, or fluid crystalline glazes on the land and seascape forms.
